# ai_user_cap_reached

HTTP 429 · AI gateway (SPEC §14.2)

This end user reached their AI spend cap. It resets at the start of the next cap period.

## Does retrying help?

Yes, after waiting. Send the same request again once the wait in the message has passed (the `Retry-After` header says how long, when there is one).
