# rate_limited

HTTP 429 · Requests and sign-in (SPEC §15.3, §20.1)

Too many requests in a short time. Wait for the Retry-After period, then try again.

## Does retrying help?

Yes, after waiting. Send the same request again once the wait in the message has passed (the `Retry-After` header says how long, when there is one).
