# sign_in_backoff

HTTP 429 · End-user sign-in (SPEC §7)

Several failed sign-ins in a row. Wait for the Retry-After period, then try again.

## Does retrying help?

Yes, after waiting. Send the same request again once the wait in the message has passed (the `Retry-After` header says how long, when there is one).
