# sign_in_locked

HTTP 429 · End-user sign-in (SPEC §7)

Sign-in with a password is locked after 10 failed attempts. Reset the password, or try again after the Retry-After period.

## Does retrying help?

Yes, after waiting. Send the same request again once the wait in the message has passed (the `Retry-After` header says how long, when there is one).
