Terms of service

The agreement between Flatstack and the accounts that use it.

Version 1.0, effective 29 October 2026

Who we are

Flatstack is run by Affiliate Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14577286, whose registered office is at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. In these terms "we" and "us" means Affiliate Intelligence Ltd, and "you" means the business or person who opens a Flatstack account.

By creating an account you agree to these terms, the acceptable use policy and, for personal data you put on Flatstack, the data processing agreement. Questions go to support@flatstack.dev.

Who can use Flatstack

Flatstack is for businesses and for developers building apps, not for personal or household use. You must be 18 or over, and if you open an account for a company, you confirm you can bind it to these terms.

You're responsible for everything done through your account, by you, your team members and your tokens. Keep sign-in details and tokens secret, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has them.

Plans and payment

  • Every account needs a paid plan. There are no free accounts and no trials. Plan prices and limits are on the pricing page.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling. We add VAT where it applies; EU business customers with a valid VAT number are charged under the reverse charge.
  • Plans are paid in advance each billing period by card through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You're never charged for usage. When your project reaches a plan limit, it slows down or stops accepting that kind of request until the next period, or until you upgrade or buy an add-on. Add-ons are only ever bought by an owner's explicit action.
  • Upgrades start straight away and are charged pro rata. Downgrades start at the end of the billing period, and only if your usage fits the smaller plan.
  • If you're not happy with Flatstack, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll email account owners at least 30 days before a price rise applies to them.

If a payment fails

Stripe retries a failed payment over the following days and we email you each time. If it still fails, your projects become read-only: they keep serving pages and reads, and your end users can still sign in, but writes are refused until you pay. After 30 days read-only, your projects are suspended. We keep their data for 30 more days, emailing you before deletion, and then delete it.

Your content

Your code, data, files and the data of your app's end users stay yours. You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit them only as needed to run Flatstack for you, back them up and keep it secure.

You're responsible for your apps and what they do: that you have the right to the content you put on Flatstack, that your apps comply with the law, and that you have what you need (including any consents and privacy notices) to process your end users' personal data. Our data processing agreement sets out how we handle that data on your behalf.

You can export everything at any time, including during a read-only period, as described in our docs.

Acceptable use

Your apps must follow the acceptable use policy. If an app breaks it, we may limit or suspend that app or your account. Where the risk allows, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it; where it doesn't (for example phishing, malware or a live attack), we'll act first and tell you straight after.

Sandboxes

Agents can create an unclaimed sandbox without an account. A sandbox has small fixed limits, never sends email, and is deleted 24 hours after it's created unless it's claimed by signing up. Whoever creates a sandbox agrees to the acceptable use policy. Once claimed, it becomes a normal project under these terms.

Our service

  • We work to keep Flatstack available and secure, and publish its status. Unless the pricing page states an uptime commitment for your plan, no plan carries one.
  • Support is by email on every plan, with the response times shown on the pricing page, in UK business hours.
  • Features marked as coming, preview or beta are offered as they are and may change or be withdrawn.
  • Some features pass data to third parties you choose, such as AI model providers. Their own terms apply to what they do with it.
  • We may improve or change Flatstack. If we remove a feature you pay for, we'll give you reasonable notice.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in the dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Your account is then read-only for 30 days so you can export your data, and after that we delete it, emailing you before we do.

We can end the agreement or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don't pay, or if we have to by law. Otherwise we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email. If we end the agreement for our own reasons, we refund any period you've paid for and not used.

Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
  • Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill.
  • Apart from that, each party's total liability under or in connection with these terms in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This cap doesn't apply to your obligation to pay our fees.
  • Flatstack is provided with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that and what these terms say, we don't give any other promises about it, to the extent the law allows.
  • You'll compensate us for claims made against us by third parties because of your apps or content, or because of your breach of the acceptable use policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that affect your rights, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't accept them, you can cancel before they apply. Each version is dated at the top of this page.

General

  • These terms, the acceptable use policy and the data processing agreement are the whole agreement between us about Flatstack.
  • Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • You can't transfer this agreement without our consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Flatstack, and we'll tell you if we do.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
